Absurd Snacks Recovers over 2000lbs of Plastic with CleanHub Partnership
CleanHub is an organization dedicated to driving positive change in the world by partnering with brands that prioritize sustainability and doing good for our planet to implement waste recovery where there is none. CleanHub leverages technology to act as a facilitator, connecting environmentally conscious brands like Absurd Snacks with on-the-ground initiatives to stay accountable and bring about meaningful change.
We’ve partnered with an organization in India called Recity that employs local community members to collect and reroute waste before it enters the environment. Through CleanHub’s partnership, we are able to track the amount of waste collected on our brand’s behalf. After being collected, this waste is sorted by material and disposed of in the most sustainable way possible. The goal is to offset the plastic output that goes into our snack production in order to be completely plastic neutral and minimize our footprint/impact on our environment. Since beginning our partnership with CleanHub in early January, Recity has collected over 2,000 lbs of plastic waste! By the end of 2023, we’ll reach our goal of 2,500 lbs of plastic collected before entering the environment.
Last year, CleanHub brands together collected over 4.5 million lbs of plastic all over the world! We’re excited and grateful to now be part of a community that is on the same mission.

Together, they work together to offset Absurd Snacks plastic in production by collecting the same amount of plastic from the environment. Because of this, Absurd Snacks operates as a plastic-neutral brand.

By collaborating with CleanHub, Absurd Snacks supports initiatives that empower local communities and create job opportunities. This not only improves living conditions but also establishes a more sustainable and equitable society.

They engage with local schools, online within their communities, and communities in each hub’s locality to spread knowledge about sustainability and foster a culture of responsible consumption.
