Our inbox saw a fun surprise this week from one of our newest and largest customers, the Marriott Baltimore Waterfront Hotel ⛵️ The dining team has been using Absurd Snacks on their menu for a few weeks now, including a Maple Cinnamon key lime pie crust, and a Rosemary Sea Salt crunchy topper for their house salad.
A few months ago, they used our Maple Cinnamon flavor as a crunchy topper for a vegan chocolate mousse! 🍫 There's so many ways to use Absurd Snacks other than just straight outta the bag! How do you enjoy the munchies? Let us know by replying to this email!
WHERE WE'VE BEAN🫘
On Monday, we had the chance to meet and hear the founder of Netflix speak at our alma mater. Better yet, he's an Absurd Snacks super-fan and was super excited to see that we brought him some snacks for his plane ride back to California
On Tuesday, we sponsored Lucky Road Run Shop Short Pump's monthly fun run. Not only did runners Refuel with Real Food, but we were joined by Topo and Feetures who ran giveaways and shoe demos. Runners had the chance to run some miles in a new pair of shoes, snack with friends, and win some awesome gear like Shokz headphones! We love partnering with the local running community and providing nutrient rich snacks to help in recovery. Are you part of a run club? We'd love to support y'all with some snacks! 🏃
Also on Tuesday, we had a demo on VCU's campus at their Ram City Market. Students continue to love our single serve packs for easy, convenient snacking on the way to class or their next club meeting 😆
WHAT TO CRAVE THIS WEEK😋
DEMO DEMO DEMO! We are on the demo trail this weekend with some store demos at Whole Foods Market. Catch us at Vienna, VA on Friday night from 3-7 PM, Saturday at Doylestown PA from 10-2 PM and Glen Mills PA 3-7 PM, and Sunday South Hills PA 10-2 PM! Be sure to stop by and say hey to our awesome field sales warriors and grab some snacks while you're at it!
On Thursday, we are headed to Charlottesville for the annual Tom Tom Festival, which is the SXSW of Virginia. The theme this year is EVOLVE, and it explores how we — as individuals, communities, organizations, and societies — adapt to change and grow into something new. And boy, have we learned how to do just that with starting a small business! 🤸
Grace will be sampling at the Women's Summit event and we have a jam-packed calendar filled with events with community partners from the Virginia startup ecosystem. We're excited to meet up with some industry friends and build new relationships with fellow founders and support networks!
