Our New Year's Resolution Gift List

The new year is just around the corner, and with it comes a fresh wave of resolutions. Not sure about you, but 2025 is the year we are NOT falling into the trap of having big aspirations and then dropping the ball 4 days into the New Year. We’re not pointing any fingers, though. Hehe.

Ok, ok, ok. We’ll make this a little easier for y’all. Here are some New Year's resolutions that you may be thinking of going into 2025 and our gift ideas for you to take advantage of and actually make those resolutions come true.

  1. Read more. A few of our favorites… 

Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt: an exploration of friendship, reckoning, and hope, tracing a widow's unlikely connection with a giant Pacific octopus.

Our Woman in Moscow by Beatriz Williams: a gripping and profoundly human story of Cold War espionage and family devotion.

 

  1. Reduce Stress (Very mindful, very demure)
  • A weighted blanket: it feels like you’re being crushed by a boulder but like in the best way possible. You’ll sleep like a baby, we guarantee it. Here’s a great one from Gravity.

  • Get yourself a journal. Write the ups, the downs, the middles? Write it all. Trust us, it’s a beautiful thing. Try a Moleskine!
  1. Eat more vegetables. Veggies are expensive and hard to get enough of. Apparently only 9% of adults actually eat enough vegetables, according to the CDC. Do better people!
  • Our bff Baked By Melissa wrote her cookbook, Come Hungry, which features a TON of veggie-loaded salads and meals. Get yourself a copy and you’ll instantly find a boat load of amazing ideas that will help you get your veg on.

  1. Stay Active! We could all use a little extra movin’ and groovin’.
  • Check out this fitness card game from YUDAE that gamifies your workouts, giving you suggestions on how to get active and teaches you along the way. This game makes it so much easier to get active and makes it actually fun.

  1. Eat More Frequently. Some say smaller and more frequent meals/healthy snacks can be.

  1. Volunteer more - your help is always needed. A little can go a long way!
  • VolunteerMatch is a super cool and easy tool that connects you with volunteer opportunities in your local community. You can search with a bunch of different filters, so if you want something virtual vs. in-person, supporting a specific cause, or using a skill of yours, you can find an opportunity perfect for you.
